I recently took part in a painting workshop with the very talented Jamel Akib.
The workshop was a great experience, taking me totally out of my comfort zone! Jamel was very warm, kind and complimentary. I worked with acrylics practicing his style and then he encouraged me to try his oils as he felt I would prefer the feel .
The objectives of the day were to add movement, with all brush strokes emanating from a clear focal point, but with the focus on achieving movement with a fast and loose approach.
It was challenging, but worth trying. Here's the results.
